If you stumbled across this page you are probably wondering if it is better to juice or to make a smoothie. The honest answer is really what you prefer and what your health and wellness goals are. I personally love to do both because they each have their own benefits. Often times I will also juice some ingredients and then add them to my smoothie. Read on to learn the pros and cons of each!

Pros: provides an incredible amount of nutrients in a small serving. It extracts all of the water and nutrients, leaving behind only the fiber. This means your body is better able to absorb nutrients without having to digest the dense bulk of the plant. PLUS you can fit a large quantity of vegetables into a single glass.

Benefits of Juicing:

Increased Energy Levels

Better Concentration

Health Skin, Nails, Hair & Eyes

Strong Immune System*

Improved Mood

Aid in Weight Loss

Cons: even though you get very high amounts of nutrients and vitamins, juices will not keep you full for long because your body processes the liquefied quickly. My other con with juicing, is that the juicer is a pain in the ass to clean!

Pros: smoothies are more filling since you not only get the nutrients that are extracted in the juice you are also getting the fiber. The blender also allows you to add in more nutrient dense foods you can add a banana which is super filling and some flax, oats and yogurt all of which add nutrients as well as satisfy your hunger.

Smoothie Health Boosters:

Chia Seeds

Hemp Seeds

Raw Cacao Powder

Raw Cacao Nibs

Matcha Powder

Vital Protien Collagen Powder

HealthForce Vitamin C Powder

Cons: your body will have to work a bit harder to digest a smoothie in order to absorb the nutrients while with juicing you get a strong punch of vitamins fast!

If you are looking for a quick burst of energy go for a juice over a smoothie. But if you are looking to have something fill you up for a while, say have a drink on the go for breakfast then a smoothie is a better choice!

At the end of the day it’s what you prefer, both will help provide you with getting in those extra nutrients you might not normally eat during the day!
