Apple Pie Stovetop Potpourri

DIY _ Easy Stovetop potpourri_ Apple.png

One of my favorite things to do this time of year is to make stovetop potpourri. As much as I LOVE candles burning all day, it is just not safe when there are little ones running around and those plug-ins I used to buy, just seem to not last long enough for the money spent.

For the Fall I want a warm feeling of baked pies in the home! Makes it feel super cozy and relaxing.

Hope you enjoy this Apple Pie Scented Potpourri as much as I do!

Apple Pie Stovetop Potpourri

2 Cups Water

1 Cups Apple Juice (this is great if you have extra apple juice your kids haven’t finished just use here!)

1 Orange, squeeze juice into pot, then add the remaining orange ( i found that by juicing it brings out more of the smell than just putting the orange in the pot, you can also zest first!)

1 apple- cut into chunks

1/2 Tablespoon Vanilla

1 Tablespoon Clove (whole)

1 Tablespoon Pumpkin Pie Spice

2 Cinnamon Sticks

Place all ingredients in a pot and then bring to a boil then bring down and leave on simmer. Add more apple juice and water (1:1 ratio) when liquid start to evaporate.

NOTE: Recipe measured for a 3 quart pot; adjust amount of ingredients accordingly depending on size of pot being used
